This is a storyboard I have created for my idea. It includes all the different shots I will use and also gives a brief idea on what I want my final piece to look like. As you can see all the shots are fairly easy apart from the fade away I am hoping to use. This is where the child and mother are together and she will slowly fade out. I will have to use a lot of time to try and edit this shot. I will use the editing software called movie plus and hopefully it will look professional. I have not yet included the lip syncing but over filming I will film some and add it here where I feel necessary. Overall this script will be very useful as it gives me a stop by shot breakdown and make the whole thing look realistic.

This is a transcript I have created for my music video. It gives me a step by step and second by second breakdown on what I am hoping to achieve in my video. As you can hear it fits in with the song lyrics and follow some on the lyrics to the action. For some of the instructions I have also included the shot I will use. I am hoping to get everything filmed in one week. With this plan it will make it a lot easier for me.

As previous mentioned I am hoping to film a music video for the song Emilys Heart by Jamie T. I am hoping to create a story line involving a son and mother and the mother has passed away. To show this I want to create a variety of scenes high with and without the mother and she will slowly dissolve out of the shot. This will be very hard to edit therefore I have found and smartphone app called iMovie. It will allow me to fade the mother out of the shots. This will give the impression that the mother is fading out of his life which makes the very ever feel sympathetic towards the child. I will use a variety of these editing techniques to make the audience feel a certain way.
Drafting and Planning
Along with the music video we have to create we also have to create a digipak for our artists CD to go in. This is and example from one of my favorite bands'The Arctic Monkeys.' They are a band within the indie pop genre. I believe the genre is captured outstandingly well though the simplistic design. The black and white theme throughout featuring no other colour is very plain yet very eye catching. As we can see the front cover is very recognizable and is now seen as a sort of symbol of the band. This is a photo of them playing g a music festive using this symbol. This album was released in late 2013.
This is also another digipak from Arctic Monkeys. As we can see the design is very different from the one in 2013. This was released in 2009. Cigarettes are the main theme and this is usually associated with the Indie Genre.

Lip Syncing
As we can see from this Jamie T If You Got The Money Video Lip Syncing is used frequently. I want to attempt to use it in my music video because it seems that a lot of Indie Pop Artist use it. Although it would be hate to ensure that it looks right and in time with the music I want to use my friend Ryan as one of the singers within the video. As he also likes Jamie T I believe he can make the lip syncing look believable as he knows the pitch and speed of the song therefore will stay in time. Another video were lip syncing is used is in Swim Deep's 'King City.' Direct Address is used when filing this video while lip syncing so it is vital that the syncing is perfectly timed other wise it will not look realistic. If You Got The Money

As I also have to have an accompanying magazine front cover to go with the video I have been read a popular 'Indie Pop' magazine called 'NME.' This is a particularly issue featuring the artist 'Jamie T' As we can see a lot of stereotypical codes and conventions are used such as:
- Masthead
- Cover Line
- Screamer
- Direct Address
- Puff
- Pug
- Bar-code
- Web Link

- What would you expect to see in a stereotypical Indie Pop music Video?
- On a scale of 1-5 whats do you think is the most important feature of a music video?
- What is the average age range for the indie music genre?
- What is more important? The quality or the quantity?
- Would you expect to see a whole band lip syncing in a music video?

Jamie T |
This is an example for a artist similar to Jamie T within the genre Indie Pop. As you can see from these photos the artist RATBOY And Jamie T have a very similar style therefore I will use his videos to be very heavily inspired. Personally, I believe they have both captured the indie genre very well within these style therefore for the lip syncing part of my video I will show my artist in:
- A Baseball Cat
- Skinny Black Jeans
- Trainers

As we are only in the early stages of the overall project I want to ensure that my end piece is professional and is up to the best standard possible which means being prepared. I have been lookin into possible locations where I could film my video. As previously mentioned I am hoping to film on a beach therefore I was thinking of a place called Clevedon. I believe it captures the indie conventions because of its quiet, peaceful feeling. As shown in this video, it is also Filmed on a beach. Very similar therefore meaning I would be heavily inspired by the original. Emilys Heart

Initial Ideas
These are my first plans and ideas for a song by Jamie T called Emily's Heart in which I am hoping to create a successful and professional music video for. I am going to be heavily inspired by both videos shown (Original and A2 Cover.) I am going to feature a child on a beach and he is going to put a message in a bottle and send into the sea. It will contains his mothers ashes. I am then going to use a variety of shots showing the child and mother at their favourite places to visit and the mother will slowly fade away out of the shots showing that she is deceased. I am going to do this as it is a very sad song and this video would run parallel to the lyrics. As the picture shows Jamie T is an indie artist but this video will not follow the stereotypical Inide music video codes and conventions. .Emilys Heart Original.
